What legacy did your Mom leave to you?

As we approach Mother's Day we are taking a different path than most, we are honoring the Moms we no longer have in this life.
Both my wife and I have lost our Moms, and tomorrow is quite different for us.
We want to encourage all those who, like us, cannot be with our Moms on Mother's Day.
Take some time to reflect on all the good things your Mom did for you and taught you.
If you have recently lost your Mom, the pain and grief overshadows everything else; and though people tell you they "know how you feel"; they simply don't because they can't.
I have many cherished memories of my Mom, as a child and as an adult.
I remember when I would come home on leave from the Army, she would often send me off at the end of our visit with. "Carry on soldier!"
Those words have stayed with me for years and I do my best to do what my Mom said. I don't live in the past with never-ending grief; but press on each day to accomplish something worthwhile.
Tomorrow, we'll be serving meals to homeless people, and that's a  Mother's Day present my Mom would really like.
If your Mom is still alive, cherish her and make her feel like a Queen. Time goes so fast.
Life is short, don't waste a day of it.
"Carry on soldier!"
